Conference on Developing GIS Tools for Ecosystem Approaches to Fisheries Management

Charleston, SC - September 8-10

The purpose of this conference was to gather GIS users and scientists/managers interested in ecosystem approaches to management together to help define the future for the Eco-GIS project. Council representatives were asked to give presentations discussing current issues within their jurisdiction, the level of GIS expertise w/in their Council offices, and their thoughts on data needs wrt Ecosystem Approaches that may have GIS applications.
